Mrs A’s Outdoor Film Boudoir

It seems that not a week goes by that I don’t have a woman say to me, “Someday when I lose some weight, I’ll finally do a boudoir session,” and almost without fail, I know that I will never hear from them again. It’s so easy to push off our goals and convince ourselves that “someday” we’ll get around to achieving them, and it’s heartbreaking how many opportunities and experiences we deny ourselves in the meantime.

Mrs. A is not that kind of woman.

This beautiful lady is the kind of woman who goes after what she wants and throws herself into it with passion and determination, and after months of hard work in the gym and eating healthy, Mrs. A shed some weight and got her body into incredible shape. She decided to do a boudoir session to reward herself, and thankfully for me, Mrs. A is so proud of her gorgeous new body and not afraid to show it off! Because Mrs. A is a lover of film photography and wanted to incorporate some film work into her session, I knew that shooting an outdoor session at sunset was exactly the look she was going for. As luck would have it, a friend of mine just opened a new photography venue with several secluded, beautifully lit acres of land, and I knew that was just the place for Mrs. A. The vintage-inspired wardrobe, the warm and glowy sunlight, the endless props and backgrounds of the venue, the soft dreamlike feel of film, and of course the perfect model Mrs. A all worked so perfectly together. I spent the entire session squealing and jumping in excitement with every photo I took, and I couldn’t be prouder of this set.

Contact Form Errors

Hey Everyone! Recently I have brought on a wonderful Studio Manager to help assist me in answering emails, scheduling appointments, sending out contracts, and so forth. In the process of getting her set up within our email system, the responses from the contact form on this site were inadvertently directed to the wrong place and left unanswered. Because we also get many boudoir inquiries through the contact form on our wedding photography site, we did not notice that some inquiries were not getting through. We deeply apologize for this mistake and for the many of you who inquired with us and never heard back. Unfortunately in the days of technology, these things sometimes happen. We were able to recover the lost inquiries from the past few weeks and we are in the process of contacting all of those ladies. However, any inquiries submitted between late May and mid-July were lost. If you inquired during that timeframe and never received a response, please contact us again! Again, we deeply apologize for the inconvenience!

Miss B’s Country + Sexy Boudoir

Miss B’s boudoir session started off just like her personality – sweet, fun, and a little bit country – but as the session went on, things got edgier, and Miss B’s sexy side definitely came out. Luckily I got to see her groom’s reaction to her beautiful images firsthand when she presented her Portfolio Box to him on their wedding day! I can attest that he was very much a fan! Miss Q’s NYLO Hotel Boudoir Session

Miss Q was incredibly brave to allow me to feature her as the face of Racy Steeves Boudoir Portraits! You can see her beautiful self in the video at the top of the site, as well as in a lot of my marketing materials. She’s a stunning woman with a ridiculously great body, so it’s no surprise that her session went for several hours! I loved how much personality she brought to her session, from her Aggie t-shirt to her old volleyball uniform to her husband’s Starbucks apron to an adorable Santa-inspired fur cape. I love photographing sexy black lace, but it’s wonderful to mix things up a bit with some totally different outfits as well! Here are some of my favorites from her session!

Miss B has easily earned a spot in my heart as one of my favorite clients of all time, especially when it comes to boudoir. Not only is she a complete stunner, she’s a redhead (as I mentioned in my last post, I adore shooting redheads), she’s a model (which means she just instinctively knows how to pose and how to use her face and makes my job ten times easier), she’s a ton of fun, and she’s a genuinely nice person. Mrs. G is one of those women who is so special because she has no idea how beautiful she really is. Personally I think she’s one of the loveliest women I’ve ever met, but she’s also one of the most modest and humble. She also has one of the coolest engagement rings I’ve ever seen. I’m just a big fan of Mrs. G all around!

What’s not to like about Miss Charlie? She’s athletic, tall, has an amazing figure, has fiery red hair (I have a thing for photographing redheads, they’re always sassy and gorgeous and know how to work a camera), she’s got fantastic style, and on top of all that, she’s a really great person. If that’s not a perfect client, I’m not sure what is!
